Our Story
ServeSmart was founded in September 2018 by Michelle Smeback and Kyle Smeback, combining their extensive expertise in healthcare, education, hospitality, and technology.
Michelle brings over 30 years of experience as an ICU nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and Nurse Epidemiologist, along with significant experience in adult education. Her background in public health and her commitment to clear, prevention-focused instruction have shaped our practical, safety-driven training philosophy.
Kyle’s early career as a bartender and server provided firsthand insights into industry demands. With over a decade of experience in software development and operations, Kyle has infused ServeSmart with modern technology solutions, resulting in a user-friendly, mobile-first training platform.
Initially launched in Washington State, ServeSmart rapidly expanded into key markets including California, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Ohio, offering fully online and mobile-friendly courses from day one.
